Final Four Championship: UNC vs. Michigan State

Number 2 Michigan State upset 1 seed Connecticut 82-73 while number 1 seed UNC beat 3 seed Villanova 83-69 to advance to Monday's NCAA Final Four Championship in Detroit.

In their only meeting back in December the Tar Heels beat the Spartans handily 98-63 at Ford Field.  However we are taking Michigan State over UNC in the upset by four.

Alife x Rogue Status Gun Show Everybody Mid

Everything I know about this shoe is summed up in the title...solexlife dropped this image of what appears to be the Alife Everybody Mid accented with the highly popular Rogue Status gun show print.  Keep you update as we find out more.  I imagine this is still at the sample stages but I would love to see the gun show print a touch smaller or have the black gun print on a mid to dark grey instead of white side panel...then again I guess there is nothing subtle about a mass collection of automatic weapons is there?

DC x Kendo - The Spruce Kendo

Behold the first women's sneaker to release under the DC's Double Label Project: The Spruce Kendo.  Kendo is a sneaker boutique on Melrose in Los Angeles that caters to the female consumer.  The shoe is, quite frankly, incredible and a big deal.  The shoe features a unique blend of constantly changing reptile skins and an incredible colour palette of red/gold/copper/tan.  The shoe is available now through the DC site and DC Flagship in LA and Soho NY as well as Kendo.

Turning Japanese...Huf

Congratulations to Keith and the Huf crew on the overseas announcement.  Huf will join the likes of Supreme, Alife, UNDFD, and Stussy in their efforts for global expansion.  The Huf line will be distributed by Blackboxx.  No word of a flagship store yet but we would suspect that if it is as well received as we imagine, a flagship will be the next natural step.  We should start seeing more come October.  To keep up to date with the JP project head over to HUFJP.

Nigo Got a New Car...

It looks as though Nigo has replaced his Rolls Royce Phantom with a new an improved 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.  Nigo gave the Gullwing the full out AMG treatment including a 6.0 L V6, AMG wheels and all custom interior and exterior.
 

Though the Gullwing turned out pretty rad I would definitely cop the Phantom...

Congratulations Dallas Green of City and Colour

Congrats to Dallas Green of City and Colour on winning a Juno this week for Songwriter of the Year. For those of you who don't know what the Juno's are it's Canada's version of the Grammy's persay, only on a much tightier budget.

Supra "Subbs" Skytop

The originally SXSW release of the Supra x Stubb's Skytop will be released internationally on Saturday.  1000 pairs of the shoe will be released in total with each shop only receiving 24 pairs.  If you covet the wooden box, you will have to head to Factory 413 in LA as they are the only shop that will have the special edition packaging.

Goodfoot Toronto and Industrie in Montreal will be the only shops receiving the shoe.

UNDFTD x New Era 'Murdered 5950'

It is nice to see some innovative thought going into the world of New Era's.  It seems like everyone has been pushing the 5950 just because it's a liscened product and not giving it much thought other then slapping a logo on the front and mass marketing it.  Undefeated takes note of the Jordan IV and bring that inspiration to their new 'Murdered 5950'.  The hat will be released April 4th and comes in an all black and all white color scheme.  The hat features the Undefeated logo and slogan "Play Dirty".
The hat would go great with the Air Jordan IV x Undefeated Retro that dropped June 23, 2005. That is if you were one of the 79 luck individuals who coped a pair.  If you still want them you can head over to eBay and buy the size 12 that is listed for $7,500 USD (that's only $9,437 CDN).

Air Yeezy Drops Saturday @ LiveStock

The Air Yeezy's have proven to be a love hate relationship so far for most people. Some people despise the shoe, while some despise the price. Some are already camping out to be one of the first to cop the shoe. At the end of the day Kanye is the first non-athlete to receive a signature Nike model. Though cocky, arrogant and at times ignorant Kanye has accomplished more then most of us could ever imagine for ourselves.

If your in Toronto or Vancouver the Yeezy will drop on Saturday at 11 a.m. at LiveStock (1709 West 4th Ave in Vancouver + 116 Spadina in Toronto). No Yeezy's will be available at the Gastown location. No word yet on the Goodfoot drop time.

Nigo Stepping Down as President of A Bathing Ape

WWD Fashion is reporting that one of the industries most influential people, Nigo (Tomoaki Nagao), is stepping down as president and director of A Bathing Ape (BAPE). Nigo founded BAPE in 1993.  It is reported that the Japanese music producer, DJ and creator of Bape, will continue to be the majority owner of A Bathing Ape's parent company, Nowhere Co., Ltd.  The brands subsidiaries include Bape Cuts hair salon, Bape Cafe and Gallery and Bape Sounds records.  Nigo will also continue as the designer of the brand as well as co-owner and head designer of the BBC and Ice Cream brand.   

Highsnobiety is all suggesting that "next seasons Bape collection is actually designed entirely by Tet from WTAPS. Tet is taking over the Creative director position for next season. We are definitely looking forward to the new season and can only imagine the best to come out of it."

Talk about April 1st paranoia...I'm just waiting for this to be a AFJ.

The Hundreds Bomb: April Fools

This same time last year the Hundreds posted that they had sold the brand to LVMH Group (Louis Vuitton - Moet- Henessy) for $18 million.  The blog-o-sphere went crazy and everyone thought that Bobby and Benny had sold out.  Now I have no idea if The Hundreds is involved with this one as I could only find info about it on CtotheJL and Highsnobiety but this is hilarious.  I am curious as to how many people make their way down to THSF and THLA to purchase this weapon of mass destruction.  Rosewood would be a war zone today.  The thing looks legit though.
