Jeff Hamada x Converse

Jeff Hamada is a pretty rad Canadian designer and his story is pretty inspiring. Jeff is one of those guys you can't help but admire. Determined and dedicated he has made a name for himself not only in Canada but on the world wide front.

A quick run through of how he ended up where he did. Applied to Emily Carr to study communication design...rejected. Enrolled in their film program...loved it...shortly after hired by EA Sports who in turn paided for the remaining of his education at Carr...posted design portfolio on the web...found out about 3sixteen on a Christian forum and sent samples to founder Andrew hired and designed the Spring 2006 collection...went better then planned...hired as head designer...led to big things including working with Endeavor Snowboards and Soul Assassins...teamed up with Converse for (Product)Red project.

I have followed Jeff's work for a few years now and I must say he is an extremely down to earth guy. I emailed him last week about a little project I have on the go and he took the time out of his retardedly busy schedule to exchange a couple emails. So I encourage you if you are in the vicinity of Livestock at 1709 West 4th Ave in Vancouver pop in on February 19th from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and purchase this shoe. All proceeds from that night will go directly to the Global Fund.
