Passion Pit

Passion Pit began as a solo project for Emerson College student Michael Angelakos of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The original Chunk of Change EP was written and produced entirely by Angelakos and was a Valentines Day gift for his girlfriend. Today the group has expanded to include four other members: Ian Hultquist, Ayad Al Adhamy, Jeff Apruzzese and Nate Donmoyer.

The groups sound is a combination of impressive pop and synth beats with unique vocals. The group has had some success south of the border and has opened for Death Cab for Cutie, Girltalk, and These New Puritans. You will either love it or hate it but there is no doubt in my mind that the beats and sounds will grow on you to the point where you have the sound running through your head all day.

Passion Pit will be making some stops in Canada this month.
